A licensed psychologist, Ken Banister worked 27 years for Southeast Wyoming Mental
Health Center -- first as staff psychologist in Cheyenne, then for 21 years as director/psychologist
of the Torrington office. Attempting retirement in 2000, he lasted two months before
taking a position as school psychologist with the Torrington schools, then he retired
from that work in 2009.
A veteran of the US Army, Ken served one year as a counterintelligence agent in
Saigon, Republic of Vietnam. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Eastern
New Mexico University and received his doctorate from the University of Wyoming.
Ken is an avid sportsman and golfer, and remains one of the key board members of
the Goshen County 2Shot Goose Hunt. He is married to Judy and they have a son, Chris,
and a granddaughter, Madyson.
