District 4
Sheridan and Johnson Counties
Term expires 2017

Mark Gordon is a rancher and businessman from Johnson County. He says that growing up on a ranch near Kaycee fostered a strong sense of conservation, which was bolstered by his friendship with former Assistant Secretary of Interior Jack Horton.

Mark has focused his interests mainly on energy and water issues, and served as chairman of the state’s Environmental Quality Council, as well as other boards within Wyoming. He is a graduate of Middlebury College, and is trained in Holistic Resource Management. In 2009, Gordon received the Society for Range Management award for Excellence in Grazing Management.

Gordon is a member of the Johnson County School District 1 Board of Trustees, a Class B Director of the Federal Reserve Bank, and a member of the board for the Ucross Foundation and Volunteers of America. He was a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008.

Mark and his wife Jennie have four grown children, Aaron, Spencer, Bea and Ann.
