How much funding is available?

When are funds granted?
Applications will be received at any time during the year, but funds will only be allocated twice annually, in January and July.
When is the best time to apply for grants?
Applications will be accepted at any time during the year. Deadlines for funding periods are March 31 (for July allocations) and September 30 (for January allocations). Applications should be made as far in advance as possible, to allow projects to be initiated. For example, prescribed Spring fire projects would need to be funded in January.
Can projects extend for more than one year?
Yes. However, the project should make the timeline clear, since projects will be funded at one time.
Where does the funding come from?
Wyoming is in an unprecedented period of wealth generation, and funding
for the trust account is generated primarily from donations and legislative appropriation.
Does the trust accept donations?
Yes. Donations are very valuable to use at required matching funds, or to direct project work toward areas where a donor has particular interest.

How can I request to have a Board member speak at an event?
Write directly to the Board member. Because the Board receives many requests, please allow at least ten business days for a response.
Why are some files in PDF format, and how can I read them?
Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) reproduces the exact look of a printed page and is used for documents that could not be readily deployed in hypertext markup language (HTML) — the "typeset" format that is designed for web browsers — or in the plain "typewriter" text of ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange). Also, the document may be offered in PDF along with one or both of the other two formats.
PDF files are displayed through Adobe's Acrobat Reader, which can be obtained free of charge from Adobe's site.
Can I link to the Board's web site?
We do not have any objection to your providing a hyperlink on your site to the Board's web site. This permission extends only to a hyperlink and does not include authority to engage in any other activities such as the "framing" of the Board's web site on your web site.
